What Makes Me Laugh: Dating Rules

Have you seen the Alloy Entertainment web series Dating Rules From My Future Self yet? If not, please stop everything and go watch the videos! The series is awesome. The first season starred Shiri Appleby (Life Unexpected) who played Lucy Lambert, a 20-something who starts getting dating advice from her future self via text (hello, couldn’t we all use that?)

Season 2, which just released its final episode this week, stars Candice Accola (The Vampire Diaries). She plays Chloe Cunningham who gets texts from and is able to Face Time her future self. Anyway, I highly recommend it, especially if you’ve ever dated anyone! (PS- the Cheetos scene is phenomenal.)

Speaking of dating, the series’ Facebook page has also been featuring a Dating Rule of the Day which I share regularly with my girlfriends. They’re funny, but also so true. Check out some of my faves from the past two seasons:

"I'm sorry you feel that way" means "Sucks that you're mad, but I'm not budging. Dude, I smell bacon." #manspeak

If you wouldn't settle for the first price listed for a car, why would you settle for the first guy to call you?

He knows damn well that his dog is a chick magnet.

Following him on Twitter is fine. Following him in real life is illegal.

If you're too hard to get, he'll get something else.

What are your dating rules? Tell me in a comment below!
