Pilot season is nothing to joke about, kids. This is my second year watching the magic happen as we prep The 100 for production, and I find myself continually in awe of how many tasks must be accomplished and decisions agreed upon. Costuming, set design, location scouting, and perhaps the most stressful, casting. I am, at the end of each day, convinced that the people I work with are basically super-human.
Speaking of days, they are long. We’re pulling some tough hours here on the Warner Bros. lot, and combined with the lack of daylight (yes, even in L.A), it can begin to weigh you down. I hadn’t really realized this until today. I spent 10 minutes looking for my sneaker, only to find it in my dog’s bed, half the laces chewed off. The sneaker was old and inexpensive, yet I suddenly felt the urge to break the most expensive vase I could find, or shake a bottle of soda water until it exploded all over the place.
So what do I do when I feel less than awesome? Make a dope playlist, obviously. And, in case you’re also feeling over it (whatever it may be), I present it now to you. My Late Winter Jams. So turn it up and groove along.
