Hello from sunny Los Angeles! Nine months ago I made the move from NYC to L.A. to work in Alloy Entertainment’s TV division, and everything in my life changed. I own a car, I drink horchata, and I know far more surf lingo than I’d like to admit. One thing that remains a constant in my life, however, is music. No matter where I am, the right song will always makes me feel at home. And right now what I’m listening to is The Lumineers.
As soon as I heard their single “Ho, Hey,” I knew this handsome trio was something special. Hailing from the blossoming music community of Denver, CO, The Lumineers combine foot-stomping, knee-slapping rhythms, killer vocals and nostalgic lyrics that will make you smile and sigh in equal parts. I’ve now seen them twice in LA, most recently after the release of their self-titled debut album. Every song is amazing, but I dare you to listen to “Ho, Hey” without pressing repeat at least once.
Here’s the “Ho, Hey” music video:
Other great tracks: Flowers In Your Hair, The Dead Sea
