Imitation

Fans of Cinder, The Selection and Sara Shepard’s Lying Game series will love Imitation, a thrilling, action-packed novel sure to keep readers guessing until the very last page by bestselling author Heather Hildenbrand.

    Available exclusively from Amazon:

    Summary:

Everyone is exactly like me. There is no one like me.

Ven wrestles with these contradicting truths every day. A clone of wealthy eighteen-year-old Raven Rogen, Ven knows everything about the girl she was created to serve: the clothes she wears, the boys she loves, the friends she loves to hate. Yet she’s never met the Authentic Raven face-to-face. Imitations like Ven only get to leave the lab when they’re needed—to replace a dead Authentic, donate an organ, or complete a specific mission. And Raven has never needed Ven . . . until now.

When there is an attack on Raven’s life, Ven is thrust into the real world, posing as Raven to draw-out the people who tried to harm her. But as Ven dives deeper into Raven’s world, she begins to question everything she was ever told. She exists for Raven, but is she prepared to sacrifice herself for a girl she’s never met?

Lovely post. We don’t have Thanksgiving here Australians tend to believe they live in God’s own cnortuy so are always grateful but it is worth reflecting on what we should be thankful for. I often wish we did have this holiday. I love nothing more than over-eating.I am thankful that my gallbladder was removed this year, as my gallstones had started to roll (yes, I did call them the rolling stones). I was not thankful for the many invoices from the private hospital that turned up post-op.I am thankful that there was one shining light after the scores of douches I dated and that he is still with me 2 months on, despite being 15 glorious years younger.I am thankful for the idyllic six months I spent in the real Godzone Tasmania where I got away with working very little on the money I’d saved, and that my friend offered me the cheapest rent in inner Sydney upon my return, which now permits me to move in to a higher-priced flat on Sydney Harbour, which, I’m afraid, is more my style. I move in Saturday!Happy Thanksgiving to all my American spinsterlicious sisters! I am also deeply thankful for you.
